Laurel Ridge to host Continental Divide Trail Race
We are excited to announce that Laurel Ridge will be the site of the 2010 USA 10 km Trail Race Championship for the second year in a row. The Continental Divide Trail Race will be held on Saturday, August 28 and will offer runners a chance to experience the beauty of Laurel Ridge while battling the challenges of the terrain. The race coordinators, Jason and Alison Bryant, live in Surry County and discovered Laurel Ridge through a friend who is Moravian. They think that our trails and the course they developed for the race make it one of the toughest in the southeast and runners from throughout the United States agree.
