• Provide an avenue for financially supporting the Laurel Ridge ministry
• Identify and organize people who have needed skills and are willing to volunteer at Laurel Ridge
• Form a network of people who serve as ambassadors for Laurel Ridge in their church and community
• Continually remember Laurel Ridge in individual and group prayers

Financial donations from Friends play a critical role in the support and expansion of Laurel Ridge’s ministry. In 2008, Friends' funds were used to purchase a brand new Thomas mini-bus for the safe transportation of campers to and from summer camp as well as for other groups using camp facilities. Friends' donations are also being used to construct the Friends' Cabin, which will be a retreat for families and couples.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our camp programs in both summer camp and mission camp. Those who give their time to be deans, counselors, nurses, interest group leaders, or program support add creativity, expertise, encouragement and love. These contributions play a significant part in our programs.

Volunteers also give countless hours to construct new facilities, such as the Friends' Cabin, as well as to improve existing facilities.

As always, Friends are ambassadors to our churches and throughout the province. They play a vital role in communicating with congregations about upcoming events and news at Laurel Ridge as well as recruiting campers, counselors, and rental groups.

Most importantly, Friends’ prayers help to discern and understand God’s will for the leaders, staff, volunteers, users, and future promise of this special place as we continue in this educational ministry of our province.
