The Friends Cottage was a great size for our family of six. It has a nice kitchen and plenty of beds. We were able to kayak and canoe in the lake multiple times and made side excursions to Cascades Falls, the New River (where we went on a five-mile canoe trip with Zaloos), and Blowing Rock. The Laurel Ridge staff was always friendly and full of hospitality and we had use of the Higgins Lodge (and its Wi-Fi) for some remote work. We can’t wait to come back for camps next year!
