“Welcome to Laurel Ridge!”
Laurel Ridge Lines
Laurel Ridge has traditionally maintained a mindset that mirrors that of the entire Moravian Church, “ If it ain’t broke”…right? Well, that may be true, but Laurel Ridge staff, volunteers, and guests share the willingness to grow and become something better! So, tag along while we tackle the unknown, and branch off into the world of blogs, newsletters, and…that doesn’t sound right. Just enjoy it!
Introducing the Laurel Ridge Lines, a functional creative way to get your fill of Laurel Ridge memories, stories, and updates. We want you to know what’s going on! Whether you were a camper 60 years ago, or are looking forward to your first visit this summer, we are going to give you more than you can handle. Moravians, teachers, builders, accountants, children, grandparents, nurses, pastors, nature enthusiasts, athletes, and so many more have figured out that Laurel Ridge is a special place. Whichever group or type of person you are; you are welcome on “The Mountain”. This is our way of giving you a reason to stay with us or a reminder to come back and visit.
We will release a new blog post regularly (schedule to be determined). The writers will vary, and the topics will wane, but there will always be a consistent theme of “Laurel Ridge is awesome and you should be here at least 19 times a year to remain healthy”. Ok. That’s an exaggeration! But, in all honesty, we need people to remember and to understand how fantastically amazing this place is. For 60 years people have been born again, rejuvenated and built their personal relationship with the One True God!
“Laurel Ridge is a mountain place set apart for forming disciples of Jesus Christ, who live and learn in community to serve in the world.”
In the year 2020, we celebrated 60 years of bringing these words to life. In the year 2021, we want everyone to experience what the vision was, and is, for these grounds. We have a lot to say and there are plenty who can listen. Listen up! Laurel Ridge is the place to be and the place to be affected, not infected. Find an opportunity to share us with a friend, a family member, a co-worker, a business partner, or maybe just yourself. Get here to be reminded of what natural beauty is. These are the surroundings that God has created for us to abide within. The divine purpose of this mountain is to inspire his kingdom!
