What To Expect

Our programing staff, deans, and counselors ensure that each week is unique and filled with games, creative activities, bonding, and spiritual growth. We understand that attending camp makes lifelong memories and we take pride in being apart of those memories for so many people!

While this year has unique hurdles, we are excited about the 2021 camp season! Below you can find out what a typical day looks like for each camp, and the necessary COVID protocols we have put in place. If you have any questions about the Laurel Ridge camp experience, please contact Scarlett Dowdy, Program Manager.

What will in-person camp look like this year with COVID restrictions?

We understand that there is still a lot unknown about what the future looks like in regards to COVID. However, we feel that having camp this summer is important for campers, counselors, and staff!

Laurel Ridge will be in constant communication with ACA (American Camping Association), Redwoods Insurance, and the local Health Department about all matters related to the COVID pandemic. These organizations are following the strict guidance
from the CDC. While we are still planning on have in-person camp, there will be many precautions set in place. The health of our campers, counselors, and staff members are always first and foremost!

While on Laurel Ridge property, campers must wear a face mask, stay socially distant, and participate in daily health screenings. To allow for campers to be able to still enjoy camp, but maintain the proper social distance we are limiting the number of registrations for each week. Additionally, each parent/guardian will be required to sign a waiver and COVID-19 attestation form.

Laurel Ridge will remain in contact with parents/guardians as we move close to the camp season and have a better prediction on what the pandemic will look like over the summer months. Please feel free to contact the staff with questions or concerns.
