The summer camp has rustic cabins and lots of program space. It has a nice kitchen and plenty of beds. We were able to kayak and canoe in the lake multiple times and made side excursions to Cascades Falls, the New River (where we went on a five-mile canoe trip with Zaloos), and Blowing Rock. The Laurel Ridge staff was always friendly and full of hospitality and we had use of the Higgins Lodge (and its Wi-Fi) for some remote work.
